Basic Functions

Position provides assistance to patients and providers with direct and indirect patient care. Assistant works under the direction of the provider and officer manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with taking vitals.
• Phlebotomy certification and/or EKG.
• General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality.
• Six months experience under the supervision of a physician in a clinical medical office setting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in high volume and pressured environments.
• Current and ongoing maintenance of credential as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is highly preferred.
• Experience and appropriate certification in areas such as phlebotomy and x-rays is highly preferred.
